What kind of data do we collect?
We collect only the data you share with us. It may be your email address only, or your email with name and surname. We do not collect any other personal information. Distributing the Newsflash, we use a third party provider (MailChimp), when we collect also statistics on openings and clicks, what is typical technology used for mailing.
Why do we need that data?
We use the data to share the Carpathian-related scientific content with the community, to inform about projects, publicatons, events and other activities taking place in the region and important for people who deal with science and environment.
Who has access to the data?
The data is available only for the members of the Scientific Steering Committee, who distribute the information on our activties, organise the events etc. In most cases, the data is used only by the S4C Communication Manager him/herself. The exception might be the situation, when one of the Scientific Steering Committee member organises the Forum Carpaticum Event and distributes the mailing directly him/herself. For mailing, we use a third party provider (MailChimp), what means that the provider has also access to the data.
You can at any time modify, remove or add something to your data. Unsubscribing from the Newsflash means that your data will be removed from our mailing list. Having questions, you can contact us by email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Subscribing to our Newsflash you agree for the processing of your personal data in the range of: name, surname, email address for the purpose of distribution information on scientific activities related to Carpathian Eco-region, Central Europe and Mountainous areas in accordance with the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 and in accordance with the information clause attached to your consent .

As a consequence of the withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data your data will be removed from the database. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection when you think that your personal data are processed in violation of General Data Protection Regulation provisions.
