Inventorying and mapping of Carpathian Green Infrastructure – feedback needed!

Coordinator of a LIFE project focused on green infrastructure in Polish Carpathians would like to kindly request your assistance in identifying and providing basic information on undertakings implemented in other Carpathian countries in connection with green infrastructure.

Assessment of the current state of green infrastructure development in whole Carpathians is one of important objectives of a LIFE project entitled Local initiatives for deployment of green infrastructure within Natura 2000 sites in the Carpathians carried out by UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre (www.gridw.pl) in years 2017-2020 in the Polish part of these mountains, with support from the Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention and relevant national institutions.

Your kind assistance is requested in identifying major, most significant undertakings implemented in the Carpathian countries (besides Poland) and related to inventorying, mapping, assessment, protection, or management of green infrastructure. We are interested in undertakings of any type, e.g. research projects, government-commissioned tasks, NGO activities etc., both completed and on-going, specifically dedicated to the Carpathians or those of a larger scale but also covering, in whole or in part, the Carpathian region in a given country.

If you happen to be in possession of relevant information, please, be so kind to fill out a short on-line questionnaire covering basic characteristics of such undertakings.

Thank you very much in advance for your attention and assistance!
