Main S4C partner in the region is the Interim Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention, a subregional treaty to foster the sustainable development and the protection of the Carpathians.
The official Memorandum of Understanding between S4C and the Carpathian Convention has been signed in Stará Lesná, Slovakia in 2012.
In 2021, when the official Memorandum of Understanding was signed, the Scientific Network for the Caucasus Mountain Region (SNC-mt) became the S4C official partner. The aim of the cooperation is to empower academic and scientific institutions and establish prerequisites to level the playing field for research and development in these countries.
